Looking to switch from my school computer (Mid 2011 iMac) to something more reasonable for gaming. Mostly just raid in WOW, and a bit of SC2. So something that could run those on max settings while be able to record is what I'm looking for. If my budget doesn't match something for that, I can stretch it out a little bit more. Appreciate all the help.

1) Hm... This can run high on WoW, but I'm not sure if you can record with a $800 PC for WoW.
2) SC2 like the original trilogy of SC? That game would be too soft for this.

Cj's build is uneven, especially for gaming. An FX 8350 paired with a 750 ti isn't all too good for gaming. Also, 16gb ram isn't needed. (probably should've edited my original post..

Both AMD builds are awful for WoW. Sorry. WoW is both poorly threaded and compute intensive. Furthermore, WoW benefits significantly in raid (congested) conditions when running on nvidias driver and DX11 implementation.
FX-8350 + AMD GPU in will result in ~15FPS minimums while raiding.
FX-8350 + Nvidia GPU will result in ~20FPS minimums while raiding.
i5-4690 + AMD GPU will result in ~25FPS minimums while raiding.
i5-4690 +Nvidia GPU will result in ~30FPS minimums while raiding.
