Idk what's going this is my 3rd built and I thought I got everything right I'm checking thermal reading from asus suit ll and it says 150c what do I do?

Solution
150degC is impossible.

As said it would shut down before that number as it has thermal protection circuits to first THROTTLE the performance and if that doesn't work which is rare to just turn off the system before damage occurs.

It's likely the SOFTWARE is reporting incorrectly. Try the program CORE TEMP: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows-Widgets/Widget-Miscellaneous/Core-Temp.shtml

Other:
Your FAN CONTROL is based off the temp so go into the fan control section to see if the temp is correct there otherwise your fans will spin at 100% speed and you may need to contact Asus.

Your BIOS should also show these temperatures. If so, then this isn't going through Windows but is direct from the CPU or motherboard sensors which should be...

Hey,

does the PC shut itself down? It it really hits 150 C it would shut itself down to prevent damage. If it doesn't there are very high chances that these are false readings. Try a couple of different programs to see if the readings you get from all of them match. Also, if your idle temps are high you can check what temps BIOS shows and compare.

Your sensors must not be working right. 150C is crazy high, and the CPU would either be dead by now or would have shut itself off. Try another program such as RealTemp to see if ASUS's software is wrong.

If your BIOS numbers seem accurate it's a software issue. If not, it's related to the CPU or Motherboard.
