No audio on new build

For starters, my specs:

ASrock 970 Extreme 3 mobo
AMD 6350 6 core processor
8gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7800 GPU
Windows 7 Ultimate

I just finished building my PC, and pretty much everything went smoothly, except for one thing: I have no audio.

I have Logitech speakers that don't require drivers, they're just plug and play. I have them connected to the green line out on my mobo, and they power on, but I have no sound through them. I know these speakers work because they were working on my old PC right up until I disconnected them, and all I did was plug them into my new build. When I check my audio devices, Windows recognizes that I have "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)" and "Realtek Digital Output", with the Speakers being set to my default. When I use the test function, it shows sound on the little audio bar, but I hear nothing. All my levels are correct, nothing is muted, I've installed my mobo's Realtek audio drivers, and my speakers are properly plugged in. Another facet of this issue is that I also have no sound from the headphone jack on my case. Insofar as I can tell, there's only one cable for it, an HD Audio, which is plugged into my mobo. This is driving me nuts, and I don't want to be stuck only being able to use headphones through an external interface for sound.

The only way I've actually gotten audio so far was through my M-Audio MobilePre USB interface, and even with that I can only use it with headphones.

I will also say that I purchased this mobo used from a trusted friend who had no issues with the audio working on his computer, before anyone recommends I get an RMA on the mobo and give a new one a whirl. I apologize for this post being rambly, I'm tired form working at this issue the past few hours and building the PC the rest of the day, haha. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading this wall of text!

I installed the full complement of AMD drivers through the Catalyst downloader, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling for good measure. Still nada. :\

No bueno there, either. I've decided to order a cheap soundcard for now and see if that helps me out, but if anyone has any other ideas I'm open to those as well.
