This keyboard will work with Win 7?

Hi,

I have an old never used keyboard from years ago coming with installation CDs for Windows XP.
And I am going to make my first build.
I guess that I can't install Windows 7 if the keyboard doesn't work, and of course I can't have the keyb. working before downloading the drivers, which is impossible with no OS..

am I wrong? What do I need to do?

Solution
Keyboard drivers are only for advanced features like macro keys.
Any standard keyboard will work with any operating system.
If the keyboard is really old, it will have a DIN connector and you would need an adapter. This would be obvious because there is no way to plug in the keyboard. If it was the case, but a new keyboard.
If the keyboard is PS2 or USB, just plug it in and it will work fine.

Every new generation of Windows operating system spawns a new generation of these stickers.
Unless it is a gaming keyboard with some sort of software control, they are probably selling the same keyboard now with a Windows 8.1 sticker on it.
I don't think anything has changed with the Windows key or media keys since Windows XP.
