I've got a question about PCI Express

I've got two R9 280X in crossfire mode, would putting a PCI wifi module sacrifice any performance at all? If so, I just won't install this card.

I'm connected through ethernet cable and I just wanted to start my own internet connection. IF I am going to lose any performance, I'll just ignore this.

Most dual-GPU motherboards and CPUs run in x8/x8 or x16/x8 mode, which is usually not noticeably slower than x16/x16 if it's supported, and then the rest of the PCIe lanes are reserved for the other slots (x1, x4), so you shouldn't see any loss in performance adding in a wireless card via PCIe.

So my R9 280Xs will still run in 8X/8X mode right? I believe that i7 4770K only has 16 PCI Express lanes so I'm really not sure.

From my understanding, it should still be fine. I doubt that a 1x wireless card could max out the lane anyways.

Alright, thanks!
