I have been lagging a lot lately and its because I have high packet loss, I get it very often and I was wondering if I switched to a wired connection, will it make me not have high packet loss as much.

My xbox one is currently connected through wireless, it is about 6 metres away from my router going diagonally through a wall and a wardrobe with floor to ceiling mirrors on the wardrobe doors (I heard that mirrors effect your wireless strength but Im not sure if its true).

Anyway, should I use a wired connection or not?
:)

Solution
If there is nothing inbetween the router and the xbox it would help but your actual problem may be signals coming in from neighboring houses interfering.

If you have the option of a wired connection it will always be best. You then have a dedicated path that is almost immune to interference and packet loss.

Would having my router in plain view of my xbox help me not have as high packet loss as well?
