Most desktops have a speaker that you can hear music, videos, etc from if you don't have other speakers plugged into the audio jack.

While researching I don't see a speaker like this on the cases I have researched.

How would someone add this option when building your own PC?

Solution
The sounds you hear from pre-built PCs are usually from the monitors. I've never come across a PC case with included speakers that can play music.

Some monitors have included speakers , but their sound quality is terrible. I highly recommend better speakers or headphones. I use the AE Aego-M . They sound fantastic, but are quite pricey.
I used to have the Creative A250 , and they were not bad.
I use the Plantronics Gamecom 380 at night. They're good, but can't compare against my speakers.
