MOBO and Fans receive power, but the computer doesn't boot

I recently built a computer and it's behaving oddly on startup. Whenever I turn it off or restart, it won't boot on the first try (or rarely does). I get power to the MOBO and the fans, but nothing else. HDD doesn't start, neither does GPU, etc. If I press the reset switch or just power on/off a few times, it will usually start within 2-3 tries. I've tried reseating the cables, but that doesn't seem to fix it. Drivers are up to date as of this post.

Any ideas?

Solution
Update the BIOS . A dual BIOS that fails will load the second on the 2 - 3 try and POST using that . An update should fix that .
Follow the instructions on the ASUS page for the board exactly

If that doesnt work then try another power supply if you can
