Hello, I'm looking for a 1tb portable hard drive that has write speeds fast enough to record 1080p game footage to. I've looked quite hard but most product descriptions don't include the write speed .

All recommendations are greatly appreciated although I would prefer as cheap as possible.

As @iceblitzed suggested, I think you should check out WD My Passport Ultra:

When connected to a 3.0 USB port, it has pretty amazing speed specs. The capacity varies from 500 GB to 2 TB.
It also comes with WD SmartWare Pro software that lets you choose when and where you back up your files.
You can also sync your Dropbox with it. My Passport comes with a 3-year warranty and doesn't need any additional power supply, just a USB port. :)
