Hi all, I want to know why I get better score with the GTX 570 Superclocked than R9 270X using 3dmark 06, with the same setup, with 570 SC I get 35,150. and with the 270X I get 34,200.
Processor is i5 4670K @ 4.3GHZ.

According to all reviews the R9 270X is faster not by much, but still faster.

If i overclock the GTX 570 (which is plenty of potential) I get 36000, but the potential of R9 is poor. From 1050 to 1120mhz, isn't it ridiculous?

Am I wrong? What happens?

My perception is that 570 is loose and 270X extremely tight..

Sorry for my English.

3DMark is just a piece of software, and like any software, it's been developed using underlying hardware. In other words, some software is biased toward Nvidia and some software is biased toward AMD. Benchmarking software may also include GPU features that are utterly useless for gaming, but which warrant a higher score. Generic benchmark figures are unreliable and meaningless.

When comparing GPUs, the best benchmarks to check are gaming ones. See which card performs better in the games you own, and the ones you want to, then make a decision based on that.
