Hello. So I'm going to build my father a computer in a few days and although I have a rough idea, I'm curious as to what you guys think about my topic. Note it will be a basic office PC that will have a celeron and a ssd, that's it. All he'll do is check his site where he sells stuff and watch a movie or two.

At this price range would it matter - in terms of build quality and longevity - for a build ilke this?

For example, I'm looking at 4 motherboards that are potential candidates to be in this build.

ASRock H81M-DGS R2.0

MSI H81M-P33

GIGABYTE GA-H81M-S1

ASUS H81M-E ( D, K, A )

AsRock being the cheapest one at like ~50$ and Asus the most expensive at ~57$.

i would say it really does not matter. i'ver never been loyal to any one brand and have had no issues with just about everyone out there. done ecs budget boards through high end gaming boards by asus and msi and others.
i just read a lot of reviews and such to ensure there are no issues with the one i am looking at that does what i want it to do and go for it.

i'm sure some will lobby for one brand over another but remember that all those at one point were more expensive and comparable then as well not as super-el-cheapo-budget boards. they're only cheaper due to age.
