Should I wait for Black Friday?

There is always a chance but you have to consider the factors.

- Top end parts rarely go on sale and are usually discounted the least. Why? Everyone wants these anyways, there is not point to giving a discount.
- 970s are in high demand and short supply. Both factors indicate that you won't find any sales on these cards.
- Certain parts just don't go on sale or not much is taken off. Computer cases are in this category.

Even if this black friday turns out many great computer deals, many of them are not going to be what you like nor will they fit your build.

Sweet deal for the retailer = an off-brand 60" TV for $600 (that would otherwise go to the wholesaler for $300 in a couple months), just to get you into the store and also buy something else, like that $75 Monster cable.

Sweet deal for you? Not so much.

No. The high end components (and you have a lot in your proposed build) are almost never discounted, as has already been pointed out. Things that are in demand like Intel i7/i5 CPUs, AMD FX CPUs, motherboards, SSDs, high end GPUs and power supplies are things that will never be discounted. You may save some money on the case choice if you're willing to be flexible, what usually gets highly discounted is off brand, generic brand X crap that you wouldn't otherwise buy the rest of the year.
