I am a bit confused between Intel Core i3 4005 and Intel Pentium N3530 ! Like i am not much into this stuffs ! I would really appreciate some assistance. What should be the main factor i should consider on choosing the processor?

Solution
This ipreally comes down to what will you be doing. If you are gaming, either will do. But if you are editing, then the i3 will be the winner as it has hyper threading which the Pentium doesn't offer.

But to be honest if editing is not what you will be doing, then go with the cheaper one.

The better one of these 2 is the i3-4005. It will be better for gaming and editing. By the way, even though in general i7 is better than i5, i3 or Pentinum doesn't mean that i7 beats all i5 CPUs. There are better i5 CPUs vs i7 etc.

The i5 won't outperform an i7 in gaming. It can match it, but it can't beat it (at stock speeds) if you are talking about the current i7 4790k and i5 4690k.

Depends on the game and if its a single threaded game or multithreaded. Many, many, many gaming reviews go in length to describe why some games perform better on an i5 vs an i7 and vice versa. Its not just games but any single vs multi threaded application has the same problems. Its why you can actually see a performance difference in something as simple as MS Word when using an i5 vs an i7. And again I'm talking in general terms; specific applications will differ as their needs differ. Not that any of this really matters as the OP is talking about an i3 vs a Pentium so we're talking much lower expectations.

My problem with that, is that an i7 4790k is a faster i5 4690k with hyper threading. In tasks theater are not heavily threaded, it still has the faster cores, so I am not sure how that could be that an i5 4690k would beat an i7 4790k. But yeah, this thread is talking about this, so I'm not going to get deep into this conversation.

Actually that is incorrect because in this case the i3 has HT making it a native Dual Core with two HT "cores" and the Pentium N3530 is a native Quad Core so when comparing HT vs Native Cores obviouslly the native cores win in general but i am not sure about this case because Even if Pentium N3530 is native quad core is still a Pentium and maybe is less performant than the i3 Dual Core HT
