Hello everyone, I am getting a new graphics card next week to tide me over for a few months and I have a few questions. It would be great if someone could help!

1) Should I install my graphics card drivers BEFORE I plug in the card?
2) If NO, should I plug my HDMI into the card and then install the drivers, or should I boot up with my mobo's RGB and install the drivers then?

Thanks everyone!

Solution
1. Remove EVERY existing GPU driver before installing the new one - let me know if you don`t know how to, and if you had before this an AMD or Nvidia GPU.
2. Set in the card in the mobo - you should still have the Integrated graphics activated in BIOS.
3. Boot up and install the drivers.
4. Once drivers are installed, reboot, go to BIOS and disable the integrated graphics, and enjoy your new GPU.

Use DDU for uninstalling the drivers.
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.

Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and shut down option.
And then install the graphics card when shutdown and install the new drivers after booting.

nope first plug the card in
then install the drivers
you can't install the drivers before plugging the card in cause the setup will not recognize the graphics card and the installation will not proceed any further
first plug the HDMI and then install them
