GTX 970 VERSION

I am going to buy a gtx 970, probably the gigabyte g1 gaming, still i would like to know yout thoughts!

there are 2 things im afraid of:

1- coil whining ive seen this problem like in so many threads, that im afraid to buy a gtx 970...

2- my chieftech modular PSU with 650W, I use a 4 pin connection on my current gpu wich is a amd radeon hd 6850, ive heard that the gtx 970 uses a 1- 6 pi connection and 1 8 pin connection..

what you guys think ?

IMO, all the aftermarket 970s are good, even the EVGA which has caught alot of flak for it's cooling solution. Really, it just comes down to what you want. Personally, I'm a fan of function so I opted for the G1 970 as I read you could clock it the highest and I'm very happy with it. Some feel the cooler looks a bit crazy but I like the beefy look. The MSI and Strix cards are also top notch and I hear the Zotac cards are beast overclockers as well. So really, it's whichever card you want.
