Ow my, so hard to decide.

My original goal was to spend as little as possible on a fair gaming computer. But as I look the different options, I also want to get something that will last at least for a while. I want you guys help to decide what to do about the GPU.

Should I get a GTX 770 for 239.00?
Should I get a GTX 780 for 309.00?
Should I get a GTX 970 for 329.00? (but wait a couple of weeks to actually get the card)

If I were to get a 770, I would get an SSD as well.

Right now would not be playing on more than Full HD resolution.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!!

UPDATE. System specs:

i7 4790k
1TB 7200 HD
Z97-A Motherboard
Corsair 750w Browse
G.Skill 8GB 1866

So far that's it, missing GPU and possible SSD.

Solution
I suggest taking a look at the R9 290 , Better than a 770 and costs as much as it.

SSD will yield in a much faster performance outside of games.

It won't be faster than a GTX 970 however its 10% slower which isn't very noticeable.

As an owner of a 970 who upgraded from a 680, yes it is worth it, and then some. I would never have ever thought I'd see the performance I'm seeing even with a 2560x1440 monitor resolution that I'm seeing now for $340. I assume you are running a monitor that has 1080p resolution, so moving up to a 970 from a 770 won't be as much of an impact on you. However, you will have many years of gaming with that card and never have to worry about upgrading.

If you get the 770, you are already buying a card that is a year and a half old...just keep that in mind. In addition, the 970 is very efficient, much more efficient for its power compared to what AMD offers. Also, an SSD does nothing for your actual gaming performance. It just makes the games load a little faster than a traditional 7200RPM HDD.
