3 SLI GTX760 SuperClocked or GTX 980 4GB Superclocked

Hi i want to know how i can get better performance if using 3 SLI EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked 2GB GDDR5 256bit or a single GTX980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 256bit? I want this computer for gaming and editing also, ill be using sony vegas, after effects and premiere. The system im planing to build is this one

CPU: Intel Core i7-5960X 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus RAMPAGE V EXTREME EATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Power Supply: Corsair RM 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

I would get the GTX 980 because there is less heat output, less energy consumption, and more room for upgrade. To be honest, I never go more than 2 way SLI because the performance boost of adding more card from then on is pretty minuscule. I would recommend the GTX 980, but I found it hard to find a store that is in stock with it. But GTX 980 all the way.

Thanks for the advice, do you think this psu will be enough for overclocking and a future extra gtx 980 on SLI?

Also do you know if a single 980 will be enough for 4k gaming?, i want to use a Samsung U28D590D 60Hz 28.0" Monitor, and my budget is over i cant afford an extra 980.

For demanding games at ultra settings, you will only get acceptable performance at 4K.

For 4k gaming, you would probably can only get about 30 fps on the single 980, so I wouldnt run at 4k and kind of tweak the settings down. But if 30 fps is good enough for you, the single 980 would be good enough.
