windows 8.1 using more ram than it should be

it started a little wile ago and i only noticed just recently need help

Not a lot to go on with this info.

Look at the taskmanager which process uses that much ram and see if you need it.
Run some virus/antimalware scans too.For the virus scan use your antivirus program,for malware use malwarebytes antimalware.
Maybe do these scans in safe mode,maybe you'll see more results.
