Gta iv lag when using xbox one controller

I am trying to play gta iv with my xbox one controller. i have downloaded and installed all the drivers and stuff, but when i launch gta and plug in the controller the game goes down to 5 fps. If i unplug the controller again it goes to my normal fps. Any help appreciated.
Need help ASAP

obviously the drivers are not fully sopporting pc yet so there are alot of bugs just stick with 360 controller until better drivers are out
