External Hard drive not showing on computer...

Hi! I plugged in my WD external harddrive to my port and it appears to running as it has light turned on and also some vibration which sounds like something is running inside. But then I couldn't find the disk anywhere in my computer. I also looked in the disk management and can't find it....How do I solve this problem?

delete the device in device manager and then also the drivers when asked to.
unplug the drive and then after a minute, plug it back in.

Hi there Pebbleslmv,

Have you used the drive before or it is a brand new drive?

You can also uninstall the USB controllers, then reboot and wait for them to re install. It will also be a good idea to try connecting it with another USB cable and to another computer.
