Catalyst Version VS Driver package?

That is an internal version numbering to AMD not something you should usually be paying attention to. The Catalyst Version is likely the most important number you should usually pay attention to. The Driver Package number is listed on AMD's release notes as the Display Driver Version in your case it is likely 14.10.1006 the newest being 14.301.1004 for the 14.9.1 Beta (I recommend using over the 14.9 due to it being a 14.9 bugfix release), or the Latest Beta 14.9.2 - 14.301.1006 (GCN cards only HD 7750+) which is for people that want to play Civ Beyond Earth with Mantle.
