Just installed a new anti virus and after restarted my computer my E drive was wiped.

As the title says. I just installed a new antivirus. It's called Avira. After installation I restarted my computer and my E drive was completely wiped. I have no backups. Any idea how this happened?

Lost almost 2 TB of stuff.
