Hello, I have a ASUS VG248QE monitor and a GEFORCE GTX 780 over clocked edition by PNY. I cannot find a way to get 144hz out of my monitor for the life of me. Please, help. Every time I got to "right click>screen resolution>advanced settings>monitor and drop box to select the refresh rate I can only gt 60hz.

Solution
*To activate 144Hz function (in 2D mode), both DisplayPort (or Dual-link DVI) and a selected graphics card with the latest driver are required. Please kindly contact the service center of your graphics cards companies for further technical supports.

First of all, thank you so much for looking into this.
So, it looks like I will have to sacrifice some of the quality of the image by using a dual link DVI cable as it deliver the 144hz i was looking for. In other words, the HDMI cable (by monster that promised in the packege would handle from 60 up to 600hz) does not work, or simply can't handle such high refresh rates. But the DVI cable does. All I had to do is change from HDMI to DVI.
Again, thank you.

Yeah using an HDMI cable with this monitor (i have one) does not give you the 144mhz quality you want. It should have come with a DVI-D cable tho. All that being said to switch it, go to the desktop and right click. Go to screen resolution > Click on Advanced settings > Monitor Tab > switch it to 144 mhz.

You might also wanna Google ASUS VG248QE calibration. There are a couple of really nice websites with reviews of the monitor with their calibration profiles. These are awesome because it comes uncalibrated and a bit too bright for (at least my personal preference). They give you step by step on how to change the settings, download their calibration profile and how to load it up. It is very worth it.
