I have a gateway GT5018E desktop and is says on the side of the tower it has directX 9 with shader model 3.0c but when I load a 3D game it tells me no shader model 3.0.
Would buying a new graphics card help and if so would I need a half height or full height. I think the port in the back is about 4.75in wide. Thanks to anyone with information.

okay this can be just bad drivers your having had kind of the same problem with my Gtx 560 on my gateway just unistall old drivers and install the latest ones (becareful when you unistall drivers though)

Ok how can I unistall my driver and carefully. Do I need a new card?

okay go to control panel and search for NVidia drivers or whatever there is on there (make sure that you click custom on the unistalltion and ONLY uninstall the Drivers nothing else)
