When I do so, the "DHCP is not enabled for local area connection" when I troubleshoot the problem.

What I did is go to cmd, typed in ipconfig /all, then went to IPv4 properties and typed in the corresponding data I need to fill (IP address, subnet mask, Default gateway, Preferred and Alternate DNS server.

I did just that and the same error pops up when I troubleshot.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
-I plan to set up a static IP so that I can port forward so I can set-up a server in Minecraft,
-I also have trouble connecting to the router homepage even when using the Default gateway. It says that the wepage is currently unavailable

Thank you for you patience :)

what type of router are you using?

you also have to reserve the ip for the device (in the router it may be by mac address). also, with some routes you can leave obtain info automatically selection on and have the router assign that specific address all the time to that device by reserving it in the router. When you do it by changing the ipv4 settings you have to change it back to auto when you connect to another network

going by username are you doing this so that you can set up port forwarding for a game or something. Might be best, if router supports it, would be to reserve the ip for you mac address so that whenever your pc/device connects the router knows to give that address only to that mac and hold it and not give it to someone else, then you can also setup port forwarding to that ip

Whoa that's a fast reply, we are using a PLDTMDSL modem, I have not heard of reserving the ip. How do you do it?

It's model number is P-660R-D1, is it useful? Also, I found the MAC Address if that helps. PLDT P-600 Autovolt Series Zyxel is the name of the modem (I think).

Sorry for the typo.. I meant PLDT MYDSL, sorry :)
