Hi,

So I am looking to buy a bit of a better graphics card than my old EVGA GTX 660 2GB Super clocked. I sold this for around £100 on Ebay and can put in a little bit of money to buy something that has better performance. I want to put in around £20-£30 more.. Currently I have my eyes on the Radeon HD7790.. Its around £115 on Ebay and has more Memory than my old GTX 660.. Also I have heard it is on par with the GTX 660TI edition.. What do you guys say?

Thanks.

You should be looking at 7950's/7970's from either msi or asus which have card dependant warranties and can be had for a song on ebay nowadays.

msi has 3 years from card manufacture date, so make sure to nab one still under warranty.

Guys completely sorry, I meant to say Radeon 7970 not 7790, got completely muddled up. I heard the 7970 is on par with the 660Ti and it was ones labeled (The best single GPU money could buy) What do you guys think to the 7970? If I look hard enough, I should be able to pick one up for around £115.

That makes a lot more sense.
The 7950 or 7970 would be good upgrades.
Just make sure you uninstall the old video card drivers before you shut down to change the cards.

Reading by what you guys have wrote, I decided to buy this.

The gigabyte edition with 3 fans, I gave the kind lady an offer of £95 with the £10 postage so £104.99.

I am not a fan of overclocking as the last time I tried that, I nearly burnt an old graphics card :D .. Therefore I decided to go for this. What do you think?
