My recommendation would be to remove your old hard drive and install a 2.5" 256GB Solid State Drive(with recent price drops it will be quite cheap). Backup your data and then remove the back panel of the laptop unscrew everything that needs to be unscrewed and pop that SSD in there. Then install Windows 7,8 or 8.1 and you're set.
