let me just preface by saying that i've done some research and i understand that this error could be memory, driver, or overheating problems but i'm really confused on how to find which one it really is.
my computer has been running great for the past few months since i built it, until yesterday. i bought and downloaded lords of the fallen and tried playing it but i had gotten the described BSOD. i retired playing the game and took a look at my temperatures to see that my GPU was at around 180 Fahrenheit/80 celcius. i installed EVGA precisionx 16 to control the gpu fan and set it to almost max power, this drastically dropped the average temperature to around 155 fahrenheit/68 celcius. but,my graphics card was getting alot of hang time and would crash and i would get the message "nvidia windows kernel mode driver stopped responding has successfully recovered" so i uninstalled the software and am back to getting BSOD "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR". i'm really scared that permanent damage has been done to my system and i don't quite know enough to figure this out on my own. my system remains relatively cool but my graphics card is always fairly hot, it seems the fan doesn't want to work hard enough to keep it cool. also, my graphics driver is up to date.

Solution
This is an error generated by the CPU.
Most often it is caused because of incorrect voltage being applied to the CPU.
This can happen because of incorrect settings being applied to the BIOS (often resetting the BIOS to the defaults or updating the BIOS helps) Sometimes it indicates that a power supply is outside of its correct voltage range. (power supply voltage regulators or mother board voltage regulator is in the process of failing.)

so, i redownloaded msi afterburner and pumped my graphics card fan to about 92% max speed and i haven't been blue screening which i'm assuming means i BSOD due to heat. but, now my game crashes after about 45 minutes of continual game play. to be more specific; i'll be playing lords of the fallen and it'll be running at 60 FPS ( due to Vsync) all fine and dandy for the 45ish minutes and then all of a sudden it freezes and crashes, any ideas?
