hello..so i am thinking of overclocking my athlon x4 750k.its a quad core cpu clocked at 3.4ghz (stock) with the cooler master 212 evo cooler.i want to overclock just becuase i am going to get a new gpu (the radeon r9 270x) and i feel that this speed is going to bottleneck a bit..anyway..i am a complete noob at OC i have never done it before..can u please help me on overclocking this cpu just a little bit ? i dont want to push it up to 4 ghz .. just only a bit higher than the stock speed..my mobo is the Gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3..can u please provide me with all the details i mean how much this mobo is capable of Overclocking etc?i dont wanna destroy my system lol.i am a poor guy i dont have money to pay for a new cpu or mobo LOL.btw just in case my psu is the Corsair cx500m

AMD Overdrive resets the cpu to stock speed and brings safety to your system as soon as it recognises instability and anything that would cause flames, thats why i suggested it. And don't worry lol, just make sure the temps stay at 65 degrees or lower when stress testing to avoid overheating,

It won't bottleneck if you didn't but I really reccomend you do. I can assure you a performance boost. If you didn't you'd waste the potential of the cpu and its cooler. Your PSU is more than enough to oc and you could go up to 4.2ghz if you wanted. Use AMD Overdrive to overclock. It's really not to hard just watch a few tutorials on how to overclock your specific cpu.

problem is that i am a bit afraid about the mobo..i mean if it will handle the OC and not turn into flames LOL.i am going to keep it under 4ghz..i am aiming for 3.7ghz.but if it can handle more why not..but i am a bit afraid for the motherboard as i said.so can you help me with that one ?
