I would like to compare between AMD FX 6300 and AMD A8 6600K. which one is better in what aspect ? How are APU different ?

Solution
FX 6300 has three dual core modules. Each pair of cores share resources. For multithreaded applications it can improve performance to have the 6 cores. There is also the FX8320 and FX8350 for 8 cores.

AMD A8 6600K has four independent cores. It also has HD8570D graphics. This is comparable to an R7-250 or so, which is enough for entry to mid-range gaming.

Both can be overclocked. If you are building a budget system the Athlon 760k and Athlon 860k are essentially APUs with the onboard graphics disabled. This gets you the benefits of AMD's latest architecture without the overhead of the onboard graphics. When paired with a high end graphics card it can make a nice budget rig.

Recommendation if you have a little more available cash is...

The APU has stronger integrated graphics. You can play some 3D games on the APU at decent FPS, where the CPU they will still crawl. If you are looking to build a gaming system then get the CPU and pair it with a GPU. You will get much better results.

AMD FX 6300 does not have an APU.

AMD A8 6600K has a weak APU.

APU just meant integrated graphics.

Integrated graphics is 99% always weaker than an actual graphics card such as a Geforce 750.

Intel has integrated graphics in its CPU as well, Intel HD Graphics 4600 and 4400.

Both the AMD and Intel will make most games playable at lowest settings, but that is about it.

Recommendation if you have a little more available cash is basically any Intel based build. The low end chips can always be swapped out later for faster CPUs, whereas with AMD you are basically buying the best chips available.

A APU stands for Accelerated Processing Unit while CPU is Central Processing Unit. An APU does not mean IGP but is a term used to call a CPU that has an IGP integrated into the CPU chip.

An APU is good for HTPC and light gaming due to the stronger IGP. But a CPU + Low End Video Card usually beats an APU.
