Newbie first gaming build. Thoughts?

Solution
The CPU, GPU is weak and the PSU is a crappy one.

I will recommend this build and advice to skipp the SSD for now if you have a budget issue you can always add it later on.

Your pc Build is decent, i just changed few parts here.

The ram you put was not optimal for your build, i have put it a ram than can be used to it's full potential by that motherboard with great timings for Online comptetitive gaming.

SSD doesn't effect gaming so i removed it and added a better graphics card Asus 270x with direct CU2 cooling, it's silend with great price / performance ratio. For gaming this is actually what you need, and later is easier to just upgrade and buy an SSD drive instead of selling your GPU and buying a better one.

Well if you compare the Asus 270x with Direct CU2 with a lower brand MSI 280 then yes, but consider that the Asus Direct CU2 cooling make it super silent and super cool, temperatures won't exceed 65°C and it remains silent even at 100% load. Also 280 isn't much stronger performance wise, almost same.

Who said you this rubbish ??

MSI is not a low brand at all the twin frozer cooler is one of the best cooler available in the market and considered better than asus cooling and the r9 270x is weaker than the gtx 760 and the r9 280 is a bit faster than the gtx 760 with 3 gb vram the difference in FPS is anywhere from 5 - 15 .

The Asus 270x is factory overclocked and performs a little better than norma ones, also if you look game benchmark asux 270x outperforms gtx 760.

MSI 280 twin frozer looks like a good cooling thou, it might be a better choice than asus 270x for that money.

The asus 270x yes its have a bit more clock speed than the sapphire dual x or MSI twin frozers there are gigabyte windforce and sapphire trix especially which have the maximum amount of clock speed among the r9 270x series but still they cannot compete with the not so popular brands r9 280 or r9 280x series forsa and grainward or sparkel etc.
The performance difference between different brands of r9 270x is almost the same max of 1-2 fps of difference.

And yes i am saying that the cards are so oddly priced .
