I found this cpu on the PCPartsPicker and thought this was a mindblowingly good processor for the price ( less than £100, where as intel's 4core/4Ghz i7 costs £250!!!) Would you suggest buying this for a pc to handle photoshop/games (supposing I bought a good motherboard and other non-bottlenecking hardware to compliment it, which I'd rather discuss in another thread). Is there a catch I'm not seeing or would this be 'recommended'?
Thanks
[UPDATE!]
This makes it look even more exciting:
Manufacturer AMD
Model FX-4350
Part # FD4350FRHKBOX
Data Width 64-bit
Socket AM3+
Speed 4.2GHz
Cores 4
L1 Cache 2 x 64KB Instruction
4 x 16KB Data
L2 Cache 2 x 2MB
L3 Cache 1 x 8MB
Lithography 32 nm
Thermal Design Power 125 Watts
Includes CPU Cooler Yes
Hyper-Threading No
Integrated Graphics No
-I'm willing to buy a seperate 'discrete' GPU. Does the Hyper-Threading really matter as much as the speed, number of cores and PRICE?
Thanks
