When I first set up my network it was fine but after repeated room rearrangements, (uplugging and moving computers, routers, modems, printers) my printer will not connect to my router. Brother told me my router was to blame because it won't give the printer a valid IP Address.

Generic network troubleshooting can be involving, some simple things to try would include restarting windows in safe mode with networking, if this works it is resolvable , the cause being a driver, or startup item in windows. A well tested thing to try, if you can is to remove any security centres, 3rd party firewalls, antivirus, etc and test. These modify windows settings, sometimes protocols, etc, which can break networking. If this works, simply reinstall them, the problem 'shouldn't come back. I hope this helps somewhat.
Is the printer set up for DHCP networking?

Sometimes a driver uninstall/re-install can fix this if it was working and stopped. If it has never worked, you might try setting an exclusion range in the DHCP scope and setting an IP address manually on the printer(an IP inside the exclusion range).

Is it not connecting to your router or to your computer? Did you verify that you are using the same frequency? On my brother printer I can only connect to 2.4 but I use 5 on my computer because it's faster. I switch over to print.

When you resetup the printer/router/modem did you change the password? You might have to reconfigure with the new password.
