Hi,

Im wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade from 6GB @ 667 mHz to 8GB @ 1866 mHz?

I have stuttering issues when I play BF4 MP on High. It looks like lag, but im sure it isnt because ive got some decent internet and it occurs on every server. DirectX is installed and Nvidia drivers are up-to-date and reinstalled twice.

My specs:
CPU: I5-2500 @ 3.9 gHz
GPU: Inno3D GTX 760 iChill
MB: Asus Z77-A
RAM: 6GB ADATA @ 667 mHz
HDD: 1TB WD

Monitor and resolution:
Samsung S22B350 -> 1920x1080 @ 1080p using HDMI

I hope u guys can help!

-Steve

Solution
Dual channel needs a kit of dual channel memory. They come in 2 or 4 x 2gb, 2 or 4x 4gb or 2 or 4 x 8gb packs.

There's a fair chance this is where your problem lies.

These days, 1866MHz, cl9, 1.5V ram is the sweet spot for performance/$
