I'll mostly be playing BF4, CIV Beyond Earth, Skyrim (modded), Far Cry 4, The Witcher 3, and Project Cars

I could've fit a R9 290x in there for slightly over $1000, but 290x is overkill for 1080p gaming. If you want a R9 290x instead, switch out the Xeon for an i5 4460 or something like that. Or keep the 290 and just save some money and only lose a few fps from the CPU downgrade to an i5. Btw, it's about $20 cheaper if you don't buy from only Newegg and NCIX.

Hi. Sorry for hijacking your thread but any recomended parts list for a mitx rig for gaming!?
I have a ssd and hdds i can use as swell as os 8.1 pro or 10. No monitor no overclocking or sli.
1080p res. Intel and Nvidia prefered. Budget 1000$.
Norway. Hopefully bought within next two weeks!
