1.6V Ram with 1.525V recommended maximum cpu voltage

So, building my first computer. Bought:

8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

which runs at 1.6Volts...to use with a:

Asus Z97-PRO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

The Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum voltage is 1.5V+5% (1.575V). Will it:

A)Bottleneck my RAM speeds, and how much?
or
B)Use more than the recommended maximum voltage and damage my CPU
C)I have no idea what I'm talking about and need to be learn'd real gud.

The Haswell memory controller will handle that RAM just fine. Just enable XMP in your BIOS and it should run at it's rated speed, timings and voltage. You are correct in that it's out of spec but just think of it like a slight overclock since the memory controller is on the CPU. With older Core i like the Sandy and Ivy Bridge chips you had to be a little more careful on selecting memory based on voltage but even on the older CPUs 1.65v was safe in most cases. Haswell has a newer memory controller and 1.6v is fine.

You are only running it 25mV out of spec. And the controllers are not that fragile.
Intel assumed people would push it hence they underspec'ed them (If they said 1.6V maximum people would push it to 1.65)

Alternately you could run the RAM at 1.575 if your mobo supports it. Chances are it will work at that voltage

What does this have to do with graphics and displays?
