Just received some new ram, two 4gb sticks DDR3 1333 G.skills. Laptop wont boot when new ram is installed, tested one stick at a time and laptop still wont boot. Black screen, fan turns on for a brief moment but shuts off and nothing appears on the screen. Cant get to bios with the new ram inside, nothing happens when I press the power button. Was grounded, but the ram was purchased on....ebay.
Original ram that I had before today works fine, laptop boots up normally when I removed the new ram and put the older back in.
