Hi there TRPR,

I can not access dropbox for some reason.
Is it the first time you try to attach the hard drive or it was working fine before? Some of the reasons of BSOD of this type could either some driver conflict or if there is something wrong with the drive.
One thing you can start with is updating your MOBO drivers. Other simple troubleshooting steps you can perform are: using a different USB cable as well as connecting the drive to another USB port(the ones on the back of the case preferably).
If the problem persists, and if the BSOD does not happen immediately, you can go to Device Manager, uninstall the drive -> reboot system -> the the drive in again and wait to install drivers. Another thing you can try to reinstall the USB controllers. Testing the drive with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool may be a good idea too, as this will show you its health status.
If the BSOD happens immediately after you plug in the drive though, you should test the drive with DLG on another computer.

Running an antivirus check will not hurt too.
