So this is my first time building a computer and I want to make sure I've got everything right before I order the parts.

I used this website http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ as an additional check for compatibility, but I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking something. I think I'm finally getting used to most of the technical terms! :p

I'm not sure if the link shows you guys the parts I selected like it does for me, so I'll list the links to the parts on amazon just in case! Thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to help me!

ah since your building a computer to last as far as into the future as possible then an i7 and 16GB of memory is perrfectly fine. also i'd get this kit

http://www.amazon.com/ArctiClean-3-5grams-Arctic-Silver-Compound/dp/B002DILLMS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414708001&sr=8-1&keywords=arctic+silver+5+kit

includes artic silver 5 and a surfac cleaner and purifier. yeah you can use alcohol but it's just my personal preference to use this, that's all. and it's just a few buck more than buying the artic silver 5 by itself

Thank you for your feedback! My old pre-built computer crapped out on me a while back, and I had always wanted to build my own, so I figured now was the time! My idea behind the selection was to build for the future- I know I'll be set for future games with 16 GB RAM and the i7 processor. And as for the power supply, I've never overclocked but figured I'd try it in the future and didn't know how that would affect power consumption and wanted the big fan just to make sure everything stays cool- I don't know how much these things overheat. I might also get another graphics card in the future as well. Does this make sense or is it not practical?
