http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1874156 I made the huge mistake of buying this combo deal and it seems the motherboard dislikes the processor and wont post after trying everything different psus ectect. I went to return both the board and cpu but it turns out they went and ripped off the serial on the back of the board and said they could not replace it. I got a new cpu and tried it in this board once more to no luck as well, does the a88xm gaming not work with this processor or do I have a dud board?

Solution
From the MSI site, the MB can support the Athlon X4 860K with the BIOS ( 7900v12 version ) and the 1st version BIOS maybe the 7900v10. http://us.msi.com/support/mb/A88XG45_GAMING_Assassins_Creed_Liberation_HD.html#support-cpu
You need one cpu ( like the A4 6300) that works under the 1st version BIOS 7900v10 to update the BIOS 7900v12 version, then install the Athlon X4 860K, after that the PC will work.

Cin19 is correct. I had the same problem. I bought the exact processor he mentioned, updated the bios with the new processor, then put the 860k back in. Works great and did this yesterday :)

Yea BIOS compatibility is the most annoying thing for me when upgrading a CPU. You will either have to buy a cheap FM2 based APU to update your BIOS. Before buying one though check if someone will lend you a spare APU or check with PC shops to see if they can help you. I couldn't find help so I ended up using another $20-30 on an A4-4000
