Hey guys, I have been having trouble with my computer lately. It seems to crash/freeze under stress... Ex when raiding in World of Warcraft and after prolonged League of Legends play. When it freezes it usually destroys my ears with some sort of loud high pitched static like noise. It also likes to restart itself when under stress.

Apologies if i posted in the wrong area.

Help please D:

My build is as follows:

-i7 2600k (I haven't touched over clocking, however I believe its running in turbo?)
-Corsair H75 liquid cooling for CPU
-AMD 6970
-Asus Sabertooth motherboard
-2x 8gb kit kingston ram (4x4gb - 16GB total) 1600mhz
-2x 500gb HDD's in raid 0

Edit1: almost forgot, running windows 7

Check your motherboard's documentation for mem timings/RAM voltages for operation with 4 slots filled; you can experiment on testing with just two slots filled, and check for stability.

And, if you have another quality/known-good (sufficient wattage!) PSU you could try, that would help possibly.

Might also check your cpu core voltages, and , CPU core temps, ....eventually, thermal compound dries up/burns away, and cpus can begin to overheat.

it might be a either PSU or RAM check your ram and scan for hardware errors usually when you go to Device Manager under control panel youll see some unusual yellow question mark right at the device name that indicates that the hardware is faulty

I'd be looking at the PSU as well since its freezing and restarting itself. Your CPU does have turbo, so that's normal for it to boost it's speed a bit under certain conditions. However, since your not overclocking anything, and these restarts are happening under stress/gaming I'd swap in a spare power supply if you have one available or can borrow one. Also, overtime power supplies will degrade in performance simply due to age though this should be after years of good use.
