Hi,

I'm planning on building a mATX chassis for my college dorm and I plan to use it for just about everything (CAD, MATLAB, Solidworks, gaming, video rendering, etc etc). I have the OS, and other peripherals already. I decided to throw in the new EVGA GTX 980 and anything that I could cram into a Corsair 350D. Would I run into any compatibility issues / problems with the components? Thanks for the input!

P.S. maybe some overclocking tips for some minor tweak :)

Thanks a lot guys!

The picture below is all in the 350D (my previous build). It looks like you are also going for a red/black theme. I'd recommend considering getting these cables. They aren't cheap, but they make a big difference in the overall look. You'd also want to get the 24pin cable, sold separately.

I went with the H100i because the heatsink cover has LEDs you can switch to red. The others don't. I can't remember offhand, I think it is the H105, has a red plastic ring you can add, but I preferred the LED on the H100i (the system is not powered in the picture so you can't see the LED lit up). I also got the SP120 Quiet editions for the H100i, not only to quiet the system down, but also to get those red rings you can see below, as well...

Corsair H105 is better than h100i it has some new features and cools abit better.
And added a 1TB harddrive for storing some other not so important data

Everything you see below is in the same case you are looking at, the 350D with the maximus gene (although it is the VI not VII like yours), so no worries on the H100i fitting in there. You won't be able to stick a DVD drive in the upper slot though.

If you really want to be anal about it, you could also get the Asus or MSI gpu, as it also has red I believe. That EVGA 980 looks like it is just black which would also work.
