I decided to purchase an MSI GTX 760 2G to replace my 570.

Upon installing the card there were some issues installing drivers but eventually I sorted it out and it seems to me that everything is currently up to date.

I am now using an HDMI hooked up to my monitor rather than the VGA cable (With DVI converter) that I used with my 570. After all the drivers were installed I immediately noticed a color/brightness issue. Changing the brightness did not suffice, it was more of a color issue, blacks weren't dark enough, etc. I also tried GAMMA, it was not providing the effect I was used to/wanted

My initial response was to swap out the HDMI cable with the old VGA+DVI adapter that I had been using for my 570 to see if it was the HDMI rather than my card. And indeed, the colors returned back to normal, however now instead of a color issue the display was extremely blurry, especially the text, this issue did not exist with my 570.

After surfing the web for some time, I read on a thread that switching my Digital color format from RGB to YcbCr444 would resolve this issue. I plugged the hdmi cable once again and it did indeed solve the issue, I now had proper colors and a perfect display (No fuzzy/grainyness)

After this entire ordeal I had contacted a friend who owns the very same card who also connects via HDMI so we could compare NVIDIA settings. Our settings are identical. When he attempts to change his digital color format from RGB to YcbCr444 there is no difference in his display or picture, I found this to be incredibly strange.

I'm rather concerned as to what exactly is going on here, I'm not very tech savvy but none of this seems right at all to me, is the card potentially faulty? Why was it displaying in a blurry fashion? And what of the odd display I get using RGB that my acquaintance does not get?

Any advise/information is very much so appreciated.

is there any chance we could get a pcpartpicker list of the two computers? kind of hard to diagnose with the graphics card be the only piece of information. if it just ends up being the card i would think there is a bug in the software. but id rather not leave it at that
