I have my eyes on this motherboard Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) for fx6300 processor what makes me confuse the specifications says that the motherboard supports upto 16gb ram this means 2x8gb ram can be supported but i have only two dual stick of 4gb and they are running at 1333mhz. So my question is will this motherboard support my dual 4gb ram or i have to buy a single 8gb ram.

Solution
(YES, you can use them.) As seen here:

Actually, that board supports 32GB. You can use 1, 2, 4 or 8GB modules in pairs or singly. No problem.

4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture
* Refer to www.asus.com for the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).
* Due to OS limitation, when installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Install a 64-bit Windows® OS when you want to install 4GB or more memory on the motherboard.
* AMD FX Series CPU on this motherboard supports up to DDR3 1866MHz as its standard memory frequency.
* AMD AM3 100 and 200 series CPU support up to DDR3 1066MHz.

M5A78L-M/USB3 lacks heatsinks on it's mosfets. This means it won't overclock an fx cpu much (or at all)
and that motherboard is a 4+1 mosfet design. Again, this means it won't overclock an fx cpu very well.

If you want to overclock, you'll want a different board. You can try it with a light overclock since it's a six core and not an eight, but I really don't recommend it.
