I am looking for a budget cpu cooler for gaming that will replace my noisy stock amd cooler. I came across the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Will it fit in my corsair carbide 200r case? I have a asus m5a97 R2.0 motherboard. My CPU is AMD FX-8320 (AM3+). Also, how quiet is this cooler whilst playing games?

Solution
On newegg it states coolers up to 160mm in height. So you would have a few mm. of clearance.
That is without a side fan installed.
If a side fan is installed in the top position it will not fit.
Depending on fan speed 9-36 db. From almost inaudible to slightly noisy. Although the noise is mostly air flow instead of fan whine.

Which configuration - push or pull is more effective. If push and pull is good, what is a good fan to use with the default? Is Arctic F12 PWM 4 Pin 120mm High Performance Case Fan good for dual configuration?

You could save a fortune and just use 2 F12's in push pull. These things are pretty damn quiet, only registering 29db at full speed. Noctuas are good fans, but are massively overrated considering their cost.

Should changing the cpu heatsink be enough for optimal noise - or do I need to change the fans provided by Corsair in the 200r carbide? Thank you for answering my previous questions! I am probably going to go with push or pull (1 fan).

Yes it is a budget build. Whilst playing games; such as watch dogs, arkham origins or any graphically intense game, the cpu stock fan is very noisy. This is why I am looking to replace it.
