Hi

I recently upgraded my PC and since then I've been having problems.
My PC keeps freezing and forcing me to reboot since I can't even bring up task manager or anything else.
Sometimes it doesn't happen for a week sometimes it happens twice in ten minutes.
I upgraded my premade Medion PC with the following components:
-Graphics card ->MSI GTX 970 4GB
-Power supply ->Corsair CX750M
-Mother board ->Asrock Z77 EXTREME 3

I have already tried a discrepair.

Hello,
We are going to need some more information.
1. are you over clocking at all?
2. What type and how much memory do you have?
3. Have you looked in the event manager to find out what program is causing the issue or what hardware is causing the issue?

well I can answer that for you. he's using 2*4 ddr3 1333MHz RAM
he's not overclocking at all
about the program or HW, no idea, but it must be a HW problem no? seeing as he didnt have problems before the upgrade

I'm in agreement it is most likely something to do with the hardware. I would start by updating all drivers to make sure they are up to date. I'm kinda surprised you aren't getting any blue screen at all. If it was a memory or kernal issue you would normally get a blue screen. Having the computer just freeze is usually graphics/driver related. When it freezes are you able to move your mouse at all on the screen? If you can then the program you were in has failed if not, then I'm looking to see what is going on with your GPU.

Okay it is really sounding like the video card so a couple more questions. What power supply do you have? Do you have all the pins securely pressed into the card where they click into place? Are your video drivers updated? Are you running the latest BIOS on your motherboard?

as some extra information, it may not be the GPU after all
I know archimedez
he bought a new case, motherboard,PSU(corsair cx750m) and GPU.

the GPU however arrived later, and the problems started when we put everything in the new case, with the old GPU(gtx 560)

all the PSU connection got checked, but i'll go over there to update the bios in a few days then. may result in better system stability

it's not an old decent PSU, it's one of those cheap PSU's that comes with a case(you must know medion) I can check the PSU but a cx750m should be more then sufficient, my gtx 970 runs fine with it.(I do get some" kernel bluescreens", still trying to figure out what it is, it's either my hard drive or my motherboard but I've been having these with my gtx 760 and old PSU aswell)

With the gtx 560 i thought he already upgraded,still with a psu that can power that should you be able to power a gtx 970 albeit just for testing.
I know the corsair should be fine,it's just to rule it out.You said problems started after the hardware upgrade,but with the old gpu so that leaves only the motherboard and psu to consider.
