Hi guys,

Just a quick question for the community as I am stumped.

I am running a I5 3570k 4.2ghz,
8gb ram, Gigabyte GTX 970 G1. Driver 344.48 clean install
The problem I am having is running three monitors, I have a Benq BL3200pt 1440p as primary on DVI, Benq XL2420TE 1080p on DVI as well. Also a Asus PB287Q 4k on display port 1.2. All in their native resolutions.

For most part it seems fine but every so often if I have a few windows open I will get this awful tracing behind the windows. Its almost like the GPU can't keep up which makes no sense. Sometimes the trails just hang there for a min or two. Slightly frustrating any help would be appreciated thanks.

So you have a 4k monitor, one 1440p monitor and one 1080p monitor connected to only one GTX 970, and you don`t know why you have a problem?

It`s like having two 4K monitors connected to one GPU.
The 970 is a very strong card, but you see people going 3-way and 4-way SLI with the GTX 980 just to do 4K gaming on one monitor, and you expect excelent performance from once card to "almost" two 4K monitors.

Either add another 970 in there, or lower your expectancy.

No, you shouldn't need more power... his explanation makes no sense... It is not as if you are playing games across all 3 monitors... Your issue has nothing to do with your GPU power, and is most likely a driver issue. I'd suggest trying older drivers to see if that fixes it.... When you say you get awful tracing behind the windows... does this happen on all 3 monitors?

That's what I was thinking, as I only game on one monitor. I am getting the tracing on the Asus 4k, but really bad on the Benq 1440p, pretty much nothing on the 1080p. I will try rolling back to 344.16 and see what happens, thanks for replying.
