When i look at the processor in windows or in my bios it just comes up with intel i5-3210m 2.50 it used to say intel i5-3210m 2.50ghz turbo boost 3.10ghz. I was wondering if this is why my games are lagging when they shouldn't be i am getting low fps in games like guild was 2 that used to run with out a issue.

It seems your BIOS may not have the option to enable or disable turbo boost.
Try changing your power option to high performance.
Also, use hwmonitor/cpu-z to check turbo boost
