Hey guys,

I recently installed a new GPU (Gigabyte R9 280x Windforce Rev 2.0), but when I tried to boot up my PC, the GPU wasn't giving off a signal to my monitor. However, the GPU's fans were spinning.

Also, my motherboard showed error code 96: "PCI Buss Assign Resources". I double-checked all my wiring and tried different connectors on the card, but without success. The 280x is connected via a 6-pin and 8-pin connector.

Then I reinstalled my old GPU, a GTX 660, and everything worked fine. The 660 is connected via a 6-pin.

It's highly probable that the 280X is dead, since I bought it secondhand and it was partially used for bitcoin mining. I have the receipt and there is still 1,5 years of warranty left.

However, I want to ask if there is anything else I could try before I decide to RMA it? Please excuse me for any grammar or spelling errors, since I am not a native speaker. Thanks

Here are the rest of my specs:

Mobo: ASRock P67 Pro 3
CPU: Intel i5 2500 @ stock speeds
RAM: 8GB Kingston DDR3 @ 1333Mhz
PSU: 750W Cooler Master G750M
