Front Panel USB 2.0 not working but 3.0 ports work fine

Hi,

A couple weeks ago I built my own computer, and just now did I realize that I have a problem. I was trying to plug in a USB into the front panel USB ports in my Fractal Design R4 case, but they do not work, however, I was using the USB 3.0 front panel ports completely fine causing me to not realize the problem with the 2.0 ports until only recently. I believe the cable is plugged in correctly into the motherboard in the USB header. The motherboard I'm using is the MSI Z87-G45. So to reiterate, my front panel USB 3.0 ports are working, my back panel USB ports are working, but my two front panel 2.0 ports are not. Any help would be appreciated.

make sure the USB header is really in the right place. This points to an improperly connected case connection.

I connected the USB header to the JUSB1 part, and I'm not sure if there's much room for error because it came in one piece and not separate single pins.

Make sure its not in a firewire header if the mobo has it. Because it can kill it. Since both use a 9 pin header

I believe its in the right place. The header is labeled USB so I just plugged it in to the JUSB1 port

I have the same problem with a Master Cooler k380 case.. exactly the same, all other inputs are fine, just front panel USB 2.0... I still haven't figured it out yet.

Hi,There is no need of going in deep down of your System OS.I think there is a Problem with your USB 2.0 Drivers.Please Try this : Download iObit Driver Booster 2.1 or the Latest version,Make it into PRO (Get the Key from Youtube) and Install It.Now at the First start of it,It will scan for Missing,Damaged,Outdated and Corrupted Drivers and It will get Downloaded and Quietly Installed Automatically.This must fix your Problem.This is a Safer way to Deal with this Problem.Please inform me the Result after doing my Steps.Thanks.
